Our sports-specific programs feature modern, cutting-edge methodologies that incorporate stability, flexibility, strength, power and speed development for athletes involved in all sports. These programs do not focus on making you a better body builder, instead they are solely focused on helping you further develop your talent and physical capabilities to combat the demands of your sport.
STABILITY/ FLEXIBILITY / BALANCE TRAINING
Our stability, flexibility, and balance training develops the structural integrity of the athlete and can be used to accelerate the “return to sport” phase of rehabilitation. This specialized training module will be utilized to develop a base of injury prevention for healthy athletes as the athlete learns to stabilize athletic movement and effective positioning for power.

STRENGTH & POWER TRAINING
Our Strength & Conditioning team will collect information on the athlete’s sports history, competition schedule, individual goals, and baseline mobility / stability / strength levels and design an individualized program for them to follow. We will evaluate all aspects of strength, power, speed, and core stability/mobility to allow us to develop a sport specific training program to help develop and enhance all of these components, which are necessary to optimize your athlete’s performance and to reduce the incidence of injuries.
The initial program will provide your athlete(s) with a 1-month periodized training program. Annual training programs are also available which include specific training guidelines during the on and off seasons, addressing phases of strength, power, and endurance training, as well as flexibility and core stability/mobility.
Strength training focuses on increasing the athlete’s strength used in athletic movements. Beginning first with a stabilization strength program and progressing into a hypertrophy or “growth” program, the athlete will develop strong strength training principles as a foundation to last throughout their career.
Strength and power programs may include resistance training with dumbbells, various plate loaded machines, body weight movements and functional training. When appropriate for the sport and athlete's skill level, Olympic Style Lifting can be incorporated to improve explosive powerful movements specific to soccer players, basketball players, football players, track athletes, etc. All athletes can benefit from functional strength training programs designed to augment their sport specific training and to prevent injuries.

SPEED & AGILITY DEVELOPMENT
Symmetry’s Speed & Agility instruction is an adjunct program to the Strength & Power instruction. Speed and Agility is a tremendous asset in most sports, specifically fast moving sports such as soccer, football and basketball. Speed and Agility programs will include a comprehensive collection of drills and techniques to improve speed mechanics and agility in a sport specific manner.
Symmetry coaches will assist the athlete with running form, competition preparation, such as stretching, and recognizing key factors that may be limiting speed and quickness potential. Through digital video and photography analysis, we will be able to effectively breakdown specific components of running biomechanics and fine tune even the smallest detail.
Athletic "speed" is when vertical, lateral, and rotational power are accelerated through the movement, combined with the stability and strength to efficiently absorb cutting forces. Athletes will use techniques learned in previous modules to effectively develop greater speed.
